Summary

Deszczowa noc, głuche telefony i to okropne poczucie winy…

It was a light read, but the ending was predictable。

GÉNIAL ! Mon premier thriller et pas des moindres, j’ai été happer par l’histoire du début à la fin。 Le suspens est présent tout au long du roman et la chute est grandiose。 Chapeau

4。5 Overall This book hooked me from the beginning to the end。 The plot twist was very good and crazy。 I thought I knew who the killer was the whole time which made me sort of mad knowing that I already figured out the whole ending but the ending shocked me。 Highly recommend for a easy quick read!

Mixed feelings on this - despite the fact I was sure I’d guessed the end, I couldn’t put it down, and despite the fact I was right, I wasn’t disappointed。

Okay seriously。。。。。。what the heck was that?! I swear B。A。 Paris is going to give me heart/anxiety attacks here after reading/listening to the first part of 2 major plot twists and part of me was more than upset but at the same time I needed to keep listening to the audiobook and know the answers。 And then the 2nd part of the actual revelations。。。。Now, if you'll excuse me, I need a break and think about what I just read。 Overall, all I can say is。。。。 Okay seriously。。。。。。what the heck was that?! Beautifully plotted! I got a little paranoid myself reading (listening to) it!

I LOVED this book。 It was easy to read and well thought out。 I found myself in Cass' shoes and felt her frustration。 What a great read。 I LOVED this book。 It was easy to read and well thought out。 I found myself in Cass' shoes and felt her frustration。 What a great read。 。。。more

Prior to reading this, I had read Bring Me Back and quite liked it。 I was on a library wait list for over a month before I actually got my hands on The Breakdown。 I found The Breakdown to be very different from Bring me Back, but enjoyable in the end。 Overall, this was a 3。5- 4 star read for me。 Around the 50% mark I was thinking 3 stars as it really started to drag, but the ending redeemed it in my opinion。 I read this book in less than 24 hours despite the slow bits, because I was drawn in eno Prior to reading this, I had read Bring Me Back and quite liked it。 I was on a library wait list for over a month before I actually got my hands on The Breakdown。 I found The Breakdown to be very different from Bring me Back, but enjoyable in the end。 Overall, this was a 3。5- 4 star read for me。 Around the 50% mark I was thinking 3 stars as it really started to drag, but the ending redeemed it in my opinion。 I read this book in less than 24 hours despite the slow bits, because I was drawn in enough to need the resolution to the story。To read my full review visit: https://thebooknerd679462600。wordpres。。。 。。。more

Very predictable book! I knew almost immediately “who did it!” Unfortunately, the book didn’t hold my attention so it took days to finish。

This book is certainly not on the level of "Behind Closed Doors"The main character is so helpless and only figures things out by accident, it made it difficult to enjoy。 This book is certainly not on the level of "Behind Closed Doors"The main character is so helpless and only figures things out by accident, it made it difficult to enjoy。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This was really good! I was definitely willing to give it 5 stars until the last line, which I thought was kind of messed up, LOL。 “Unlike Jane, I have my whole life ahead of me。” Like。。 it’s not her fault she was murdered by your fake best friend? LOL! But lovely book and lovely twist and just super enthralling。 4。5 for sure!

I could see the ending coming but it was still fun to watch it unfold。 Definitely kept me intrigued throughout。

Trigger Warning: Mental Illness。 This was difficult (mentally) to read at times, because it was so good that I felt like I was being sucked in to an actual breakdown or early onset alzheimer's。 I had to put it down a couple of times and come back the next day。 Trigger Warning: Mental Illness。 This was difficult (mentally) to read at times, because it was so good that I felt like I was being sucked in to an actual breakdown or early onset alzheimer's。 I had to put it down a couple of times and come back the next day。 。。。more

The first half of the book was a little too slow for me。 I thought that the author kept repeating the same things and similar phrases however I think that was to set up the scene for the second half。 In the second half, I was much more engaged and sped through reading it。 I usually love the end of B。A。 Paris books but sometimes the beginnings are a little difficult to get through。 However it can be a quick read and I recommend it to those who like the author。

While I found the Dilemma a bit overwrought, this one was way over done to the extent it became quite tedious through the middle of the story。 Probably should have been seriously pared back with a good edit。 Chop out the repetitious section though and it's a good read。 While I found the Dilemma a bit overwrought, this one was way over done to the extent it became quite tedious through the middle of the story。 Probably should have been seriously pared back with a good edit。 Chop out the repetitious section though and it's a good read。 。。。more

4。5 stars!! Quick read that keeps you wanting more throughout! Ending was a good page turner but would’ve appreciated a bit more character development for the other characters。 Overall very fast and classic thriller I will recommend! Great value for the price too。 Read it in 3 days。

I’m so hit or miss with B。A。 Paris。 I’ve enjoyed two books and hated two。 This unfortunately was one I hated。 Unreliable narrators are my biggest pet peeve, and this book not only had that, but moved at a snail’s pace。 So many times the same thing was mentioned in two or three different ways。 I understand the author was trying to show that the narrator was losing her mind, but trust that your readers will pick up on it and don’t beat us over the head with it。

Maria

Totally unputdownable pacy read that I kind of enjoyed but it was very predictable and the main character was quite annoying through the first half of the book。

Krista Wheeler

I sped read through this book as I dislike not finishing books。 The first half was very repetitive, all about remorse and guilt the main character felt。 I suspected the outcome within the first few chapters。 Meh

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I thought it was really good。 Was it a little predictable, yes, but I had not guessed the exact scenario that played out in the end。 It was good enough to keep me turning pages and to finish quickly。 I do like B。A。 Paris's writing style, I thought she was great at painting a great picture in my mind of exactly what was happening with each and every page。 I read some of the reviews that said they found the main character whiny and annoying, and while I did not agree with that, at the end of the b I thought it was really good。 Was it a little predictable, yes, but I had not guessed the exact scenario that played out in the end。 It was good enough to keep me turning pages and to finish quickly。 I do like B。A。 Paris's writing style, I thought she was great at painting a great picture in my mind of exactly what was happening with each and every page。 I read some of the reviews that said they found the main character whiny and annoying, and while I did not agree with that, at the end of the book I did end up thinking that she was one of those women who could not see red flags right in front of her face。 I was thinking she must have ignored them all and just fell for the good looking guy and ignored all of the things that were probably there that she did not see, and although that may have made her not as believable to some people, I know women like this in my life, people who are intelligent and have it all, but have no common sense when it comes to men, and this is what I felt like with Cass。 And the same for her so called best friend。 She really didn't have any qualities that screamed best friend, or even good friend for that matter, so it made me think even more, yeah, this is one of those women that is not good at reading people。 Especially when it comes to men。 But, that said, and knowing women like her, I found the story very entertaining, I could not put it down until I finished。 I am now trying to read another one of her books (Bring Me Back) and I am hoping it is just as entertaining。 It is definitely worth the read and one I will not likely forget。 。。。more

Psychological thriller to the extreme! I haven't finished a book in a day in awhile, but I literally could not tear myself away from this one。 At first I was thinking "not another book where someone has a secret and isn't telling their spouse。。。" But it's so much more! The story unfolds and you question everything right along with the main character, and I started theorizing right away as to what had happened and I was WRONG!
